Electric Grill Griddle Information and Interesting Things to Know

George Foreman Grill GRP99 With Removable Plates

We guess that the majority of the negative reviews are simply the results of users that haven't used the George Foreman grill GRP99 correctly. Some reviews mentioned some kind of smell that the griddle grill emitted. Well, it's probably the "factory smell" that was burned on the first uses of the grill. In fact, this strange smell doesn't last after the first few uses, and we have never noticed the smell after the second use with this indoor grill griddle.

So yet, we have noticed the smell after turning the George Foreman indoor electric grill on for the first time. It's quite easy to use a damp towel and wipe down the removable cooking plates of the griddle grill electric unit (remember not to do so if the George Foreman electric grill is still hot, it's dangerous!). The result was the strange smell just disappeared in no time.

Actually, the exact thing occurred with our previous microwave and oven, so it's not a rare instance with electric griddles and similar kitchen appliances. (so we would guess that not only the George Foreman grill GRP99 has it, but other indoor electric grills as well).

Grilled Steaks, Are You Hungry?

In addition, other people claim that this large electric grill doesn't cook evenly enough and isn't capable of grilling the food the way you want. Well, a simple solution to overcome this issue would be to flip the grilled or cooked food once and then you won't encounter any further problems. The George Foreman indoor grill is a great unit that can cook evenly if you know how to use it. I personally made some very thick meats and steaks with this electric grill griddle and the food was evenly and perfectly cooked, both internally and externally. Some people like the Sanyo indoor electric grill and compare it to the George Foreman but I haven't really tried it so I can't comment on this comparison.

On the other hand, the only negative thing I can mention here about the George Foreman grill GRP99 is actually not a defect or something that you can blame the manufacturer about. It's just that one of my family members tried to help with the cleaning of the grilling plates with a steel wool pad that literally damaged the Teflon coat. So, we might not use the electric griddle grill for too long before getting another one of those George Foreman electric grills.

Another model that I saw that was compared to this indoor grill griddle is the Delonghi indoor electric grill. Yet, I don't have any experience with this interesting appliance so I am not able to give an honest review, but I can recommend the George Foreman grill griddle since I know it worked perfectly fine for me. As mentioned before, this unit works great with chicken breasts, steaks, pork chops and other high fat meat. You may find that getting the George Foreman grill GRP99 will do nothing but good to your cooking activities.

There are many recipes and kitchen appliances available today so you might want to check recipes of grilling food after (or before, if you want) you get a nice griddle grill that can do the job for you. Always try to get the best for your kitchen and family, many people believe so and me too.

By the way, the great looking steaks which are seared on the grill in the fantastic photo on this review page is taken from eDiets.com so you can feel free to visit this website which I have nothing to do with but simply found the nice picture on the internet on this inernet site and just had to share it (despit the evident fact that the image isn't that of the fabulous George Foreman grilling machine, so no offense - I wasn't even implying that it's the George Foreman GRP99 grill and griddle). In conclusion, feel free to cook and eat whatever you want (but perfer to eat healthier foods instead of junk foods that are tasty and don't have a positive effects on your body) and investigate about the kitchen product that you intend to buy or just consider to obtain - even if it's the legendary George Foreman grill.
